Rebirthing means rebirth. The name describes exactly what participants report: a fresh start release from something carried for years return to themselves.
What is it?
Circular breathing: no pause between inhale and exhale. Continuous connected flowing. Developed by Leonard Orr in the 1970s through personal breathing experiments in water.
What happens in the body?
Circular breathing activates the parasympathetic system and vagus nerve allowing the body to exit survival mode. Emotions surface and release. Old experiences get processed. The body remembers what the mind forgot.
What comes out of it?
Release of accumulated emotional load. Reduced anxiety and stress. Better sleep. The "rebirth" feeling — not just metaphorical. Research shows deep breathwork can reduce PTSD symptoms improve emotional regulation and strengthen the immune system.
